About the Role
The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for managing pre-qualification processes, vendor registrations, and business development activities to increase the company’s market presence and project pipeline. The ideal candidate should have strong technical and commercial skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and partners.
What we will need
- Prepare and submit pre-qualification documents, vendor registrations, and company profiles to clients, consultants, and government entities.
- Coordinate with technical, finance, and management teams to gather all required information and documentation.
- Maintain and regularly update the company’s registration status with major clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential partnerships.
- Support the preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and tender documentation.
- Manage and update the company’s database of projects, clients, and key accounts.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new segments for expansion.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with decision-makers and procurement departments.
- Prepare periodic business development reports and presentations for management review.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, tendering, or pre-qualification within the O&M or engineering sector.
- Solid knowledge of pre-qualification procedures, vendor registration platforms, and government portals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent English communication and technical writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and project tracking systems is an advantage.
