We are seeking a highly skilled Protection Engineer with hands-on experience in High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems, specifically 132kV and 380kV schemes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing protection testing, commissioning activities, and ensuring the reliability and safety of power system equipment at project sites. The role requires strong technical expertise in protection systems, relay configuration, scheme verification, and coordination with site teams, contractors, and clients. The candidate must be capable of independently leading site operations and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.

ما نحتاجه

  • Experience in HV/EHV protection schemes (132kV / 380kV).
  • Strong hands-on skills in testing and commissioning protection relays.
  • Knowledge of ABB, Siemens, GE, Schneider, and MiCOM relays.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Saudi Arabia.
  • Ability to lead site teams and communicate with clients.
  • CSD Approval is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protection relays and associated schemes.
  • Work on protection systems for lines, transformers, busbars, feeders, and other HV/EHV equipment.
  • Conduct relay configuration, logic verification, secondary injection, primary injection, and end-to-end testing.
  • Coordinate with utility clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead and supervise site teams involved in protection, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, test sheets, and documentation as required by clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and project requirements.
  • Support engineering teams in resolving protection-related issues during project execution.
