About the Role
We are seeking an experienced GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Expert to support infrastructure projects through advanced spatial data management and analysis. GIS is a computer based system designed to capture, store, analyze, and visualize geographic and spatial data, enabling organizations to make informed decisions for planning, operations, and asset management. The successful candidate will leverage GIS to optimize road, transportation, and traffic-related projects, with a strong focus on infrastructure asset management. This role requires proficiency in ESRI technologies, spatial databases, and the integration of GIS platforms with Deighton dTIMS BA to enhance asset condition assessment, maintenance planning, and decision making.
What we will need
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and analyzing geospatial data for roads, transportation, and traffic applications.
- Developing and maintaining geospatial databases to support infrastructure asset inventories and lifecycle management.
- Utilizing ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise for mapping, spatial analysis, and data visualization.
- Integrating GIS platforms with Deighton dTIMS BA to improve condition assessment and planning.
- Designing and implementing GIS-based dashboards and reporting tools for real-time monitoring and performance tracking.
- Ensuring data quality assurance, spatial data modeling, and efficient workflows for asset management projects.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align GIS initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with applications in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Minimum 6 years of experience using GIS in applications related to roads, transportation, or traffic.
- Strong knowledge of ArcSDE, ArcMap, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Expertise in spatial databases, geodatabases, and relational databases (Oracle).
- Proven experience in infrastructure asset management with a strong focus on GIS and spatial data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in ESRI technologies (ArcGIS Desktop, Pro, Online, Enterprise).
- Skilled in integrating GIS platforms with Deighton dTIMS BA for asset management and decision-making.
- Experience in geospatial database development and maintenance for infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in spatial data modeling, data quality assurance, and custom GIS tool development.
- Ability to design and implement GIS dashboards and reporting tools for real-time asset monitoring.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to transform complex geospatial data into actionable insights.
